Planning Your Visit
The Medical Historical Library is open to all researchers whose work requires the use of the collections. Researchers must register in the Yale Library special collections system. When you arrive for your visit, you will need to present a valid, government-issued photo ID when you arrive to complete the registration process, which includes getting a photograph taken, to gain access to our reading room.
Please refer to our page on requesting materials for information on how to order materials prior to your visit. If possible, place requests at least 2 days prior to coming to use materials at the Historical Library, to give staff the time to pull collections.
Getting Here
The Medical Historical Library is located in the Medical Library, within the Yale School of Medicine.
